Prizing will be paid out via PayPal. Winners may be required to provide full Legal Name, age, and Physical Mailing Address (along with the email address associated with the PayPal account) for winnings to to be disbursed. If the player is under 18 years old, the player needs to submit a parental consent form before prizing would be released. The form that needs to be completed will be provided and must be fully completed and signed by a parent or guardian.

Note: if the event does not have at least 150 active participants (playing on game day) the prizing may be reduced.

Saturday 5:

13:00 UTC: registration closes.
13~14 UTC: check-in on Battlefy. You must check-in or will be dropped before Swiss Round 1.
14:00 UTC: Swiss Rounds start, at approx. 70 min per round. Bear in mind that round length depends on the matches, and not the TO. All rounds will start whenever the previous one finishes, even if less than 70 min have passed.


Sunday 6:

13:45 UTC: players qualified for Top Cut must be prepared and connected to GGtoor’s Discord for further instructions (discord.gg/GUhyZxFH8Q).
14:00 UTC: Top Cut rounds start, at approx. 70 min per round. Bear in mind that round length depends on the matches, and not the TO. All rounds will start whenever the previous one finishes, even if less than 70 min have passed.


Timezone Conversions:

Western Europe (CET): add 1 hour to UTC time. Tournament starts at 15:00 both days.
US East Coast (EDT/EST):
Saturday 4: you are in Daylight Time (EDT). Swiss Rounds start at 10:00 am.
Sunday 5: you are now in Standard Time (EDT/ET). Top Cut starts at 9:00 am.
Japan (JST) and Korea (KST): add 9 hours to UTC time. Tournament starts at 23:00 both days.


The event is expected to take from 6 to 8 hours on Saturday and from 4 to 6 hours on Sunday.

This tournament is FREE TO JOIN and has a $500 PRIZE POOL for the Top 8 finishers.
The tournament will be divided into two days as follows:
Saturday 5: Swiss Rounds. You are not eliminated after the first round. You can play all rounds regardless of your record.
Sunday 6: Top Cut. All players having finished with 2 or fewer losses (x-2) on Saturday are qualified.
Matches are played in Pokémon Sword & Shield for the Nintendo Switch.
All rounds are played in Best-of-3 sets of matches (Bo3).
This tournament is Closed Teamsheets: you will not be able to see your opponent’s team before the set begins, and full info (moves, items…) will not be provided at any point.
The tournament will follow the xxx Ruleset
Available Pokémon: National Pokédex (Galar Mark or Battle-Ready Mark required on all Pokémon).
Restricted Pokémon (up to two per team): Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, Calyrex
Pokémon, Moves or Items obtained through unreleased events or illegitimate means are not allowed.
Registration closes on Saturday 5 at 13:00 UTC, 1 hour before the matches start.
You will be asked to check in on Battlefy from 13:00 to 14:00 UTC on Saturday 5.

All communications between players and players-TOs will be through Battlefy's integrated chat.

Check if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription is working and download the latest game update for Pokémon Sword & Shield.

STREAMING:

Players are free to broadcast their matches from the event, live as it happens, on whatever streaming platform of their liking.
The Tournament Organizer (TO) reserves the right to ask any participant to provide a cleanfeed of their games (clean recording of the console without graphics or external audio added) to broadcast the tournament, in any round of the event, on whatever streaming platform the TO deems appropriate, as well as upload the content to any video platforms that the TO and its third party affiliates own or use during or after the event.
By participating in the event, all players consent to their image rights in such a way that their registration data (as provided on Battlefy) can appear on the TO and its affiliates’ streaming and social media platforms of choice during and after the tournament. They also abide by providing the aforementioned cleanfeed whenever possible.
