The event will be on the PC Platform.
Format is a 8 Qualifiers over a weekend (every four hours,) so players can attempt to qualify at the time that is best for their own time zone. Each of the 8 timeslots on the Qualifying Weekend will allow all players (not already qualified) to join and be assigned to a pool of 4 coaches; The winner of EVERY pool qualifies for the the playoffs - see "schedule" for details!
Keep in mind that if you don't check in, you will be removed from the pool of players before brackets are created. Check in opens 1 hour before the qualifier, and closes 15 minutes before. (For example, if 32 people sign up for one of the qualifiers, then 26 people check in for it, The 6 people who did not check in would be removed, brackets will be revised to place only those 26 people, in 6 groups of 3-4, not 8 groups as initially planned. For any groups with less than 4 players, byes will be assigned.)
Playoffs will be seeded in random order.
Once a coach qualifies for the playoffs, they may not participate in any additional qualifiers that weekend.
Format will be single elimination brackets, each round is a single game (Best of 1) with 2 minute turns on a 2 hour schedule for each game
IMPORTANT: Discord required! We use Discord to answer any and all questions about our events, as well as to help players find their opponents.
(1) You MUST join our Discord at https://discord.gg/GUhyZxFH8Q
(2) When you do, please give yourself the Blood Bowl role by visiting the #get-roles channel.
(3) After obtaining your role, please ensure you can see the #bb-chat channel. This should be completed at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
(4) At the start of each round, use our Discord channels to help coordinate your match with your opponent if needed.
Players are required to join the GGtoor server: https://discord.com/invite/GUhyZxFH8Q
Must be 13 years old or older to play.
If you are disconnected from the game and unable to reconnect in time/before the game concludes, this will count as a loss for you.
Concedes are allowed, but discouraged. Please try to play it out to the end, if you can! More than one concede over the same weekend will result in being ineligible to play in additional qualifiers that weekend. Remember, a single concede is a loss and eliminates you from the bracket, so you have nothing to lose by trying, even if the odds are against you!
Turn Timer: 2 minutes
Overtime Format: Receiving team must score to win, otherwise defending team wins
No Inducements may be used except special cases-see below
TEAM BUILDING RULES
Mixed teams are banned
All stadium enhancements are banned
Teams are built to the custom TV worth of Value for that race, which is made up of players, rerolls, apothecary, fan factor, assistant coaches or cheerleaders, and IF ALLOWED (see below,) any inducements. (See the team creation chart for limits based on race selected)
"Doubles" are skills from categories only available if you roll doubles. Characteristic upgrades are not allowed on any player of any team.
Numbers of players that allow "Skill Stacking" means how many players that may have up to 2 additional skills added from the total pool of additional skills allowed to the team (instead of a maximum number of 1 additional skill added for any player.) In other words: No player may gain more than 2 additional skills (beyond the skills that they always have when first purchased)
Only HALFLINGS may take Halfling Master Chef
Only GOBLINS are allowed to take bribes
Only Halflings, Ogres and Goblins are allowed to take a maximum of Two star players. If star players are taken, they do not count toward the requirement fo a minimum of 11 players. (Note: if two teams try and take the same star player, neither team player can use them)
IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE TEAM BUILDING RULES!
Chart of TV limitations, Skill Packages, and other team building limitations can be found in the #bb-event-info channel of the GGtoor discord.
After teams have been built to their TV limit, you then add the skill packages allowed, so the final team TV will be above the limit on the chart. No extra inducements (beyond those on your initial team build, if allowed/any,) may be taken by either team for any game, regardless of the real-time TV differences when starting the match. SPENDING PETTY CASH IS NOT ALLOWED!
You are allowed to change teams between each different qualifying timeslot, however the new team must also be legal and follow the team building rules. (you can not change between round 1 and round 2 of the same qualifier.) Once you qualify with a team, you must play that same team in the playoffs. Playoffs will be seeded randomly, and round 1 byes will be assigned as needed to complete the playoff bracket.
Staff will be checking teams for legality as time allows. However, you as the players are ultimately responsible to make sure your team is legal. If your opponent reports your team did not follow the team building rules and staff confirms the report has merit, your team will be disqualified. (Even if your team wins the game before being discovered to be illegal.)
If you have any question at all regarding what is allowed or on general team building, please reach out and speak to any admin.

**NOTE:**You must check in on start.gg before the first round of the bracket, or you will automatically be removed from that bracket. (Then also check in each round, If you do not check in on time you will be disqualified after 10 minutes, as above.) Games must be started by no later than 10 minutes after the above official start time; if one player is not responding then an automatic loss will be issued. In the unlikely event that the game is not started and both coaches do not respond to the admins, then the admins will randomly assign a win to whichever coach eventually responds first before the next round starts, and if there is still no communication from either team before that time, then the admins will randomly select the "winning" team to move to the next round.
If you forget to check in each round on start.gg, but are responding to your opponent and the admins, an automatic DQ issued by start.gg for failure to check in may be reversed, at the sole discretion of the competition admins.
To be eligible to participate, a player must be at least 13 years old (or such other age, if greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence.)
Sportsmanlike conduct is expected. You are NOT allowed to be disruptive or harass your opponent on Discord, Start.gg, Twitch chat, etc (or any other actions that could be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, EXCEPT for actions intended to be allowed within the game itself, as part of normal game-play.) If you do, then your actions may result in a game loss, match loss, or disqualification from the event without prizes, and/or ban from future events, solely at the discretion of the Tournament Staff.
Cheating of any kind will result in disqualification without prizes from the event, and being banned from all future events. If you are in a match where you believe your opponent cheated, please send any evidence you may have to the tournament staff. In addition to Hacking, "CHEATING" ALSO INCLUDES USING ANY BUG OR UNINTENDED EXPLOIT THAT EXISTS IN THE GAME, intentionally or unintentionally - UNLESS Staff has made an announcement to everyone about an exception to this rule. If this somehow happens to you unintentionally, you should immediately alert your opponent and tournament staff - if you don't, you will be deemed to have been Cheating, and you will be disqualified without prizing and banned from all future events.
