RULES

Sign up and get in for free at The Metaverse Expo!

(along with 10 slots which have already been reserved for invited pro players and influencers.)

We are allowing up to 64 total registrations and if players are not assigned a time slot, they can be on standby to fill any slot that comes open (a checked in or reserved slot where the player does not report in on time.)

Players can check in on July 8, starting at 9:30am, until 5pm or when all 32 slots are assigned, whichever comes first. ALL pre-registered players will get Free Entry to the Metaverse Expo in Las Vegas where the event will be taking place, even if more than 32 players pre-registered!

(FREE ENTRY is into the convention and the tournament - Attendees will have to pay for their own flight/transportation, hotel/lodging, food, or any other costs.)

UPDATE RULES CHANGE: ADDED TO THE BAN LIST: NO ATTACHMENTS, NINJA IS BANNED
SEE BELOW FOR THE OTHER BANS

**MATCH SET UP:**
To ensure correct settings please use the SEARCH AND DESTROY game mode option provided within the game.

SEARCH & DESTROY MAPS
Opponent #1: Berlin
Opponent #2: Bocage
Opponent #3: Castle
Opponent #4: Demyansk
Opponent #5: Tuscan
[If the tournament bracket consists of more than five opponents/rounds, then start the cycle of maps again; Opponent #6 will be on the same map as Opponent #1, and so on. If you get a bye, that still counts as an opponent for the purposes of determining the next map to use in the cycle..)

The player listed first (top or left) of the bracket should host the map.

If players are able to choose a side, then the player who is not hosting gets to choose what side they want to start on.

**INCORRECT SETTINGS:**
If during the Round, both players recognize and agree the game is hosted with the Incorrect Settings , both players should immediately inform Tournament Staff, and only AFTER instructed to do so by staff, quit that game and restart with the correct settings to resume the match.

The first time a player hosts with an Incorrect Setting, the Penalty for this Infraction is a Warning. If the player has already previously received a Warning for this Infraction, the Penalty will be upgraded to a Round Loss for that player. If the player has already previously received a Round loss for this Infraction, the Penalty will be upgraded to a Match Loss (=elimination) for that player.

Note: Hosting the wrong map counts as an Incorrect Setting.

However, if there are Incorrect Settings, but the Round has already been played to completion before the incorrect settings are noticed/reported, then instead of the Round being restarted, the Result of the completed Round will stand, unless that win would be the 7th win to end the Match (in which case the results of that Round would be disregarded.) Whether or not the results of that Round stand, the appropriate Penalty will still be issued for Incorrect Settings.

If there are Incorrect Settings, and also, the wrong player is hosting the map, any Penalty for the Infraction may (or may not) be waived, and the correct player may or may not be required to begin hosting the map on any restart, both at the sole discretion if the Tournament Staff.

**ILLEGAL ITEM**
If a restricted/banned item is used in any Round, report the Infraction to Tournament Staff immediately, and that player will be issued a Round Loss for that Round. If the player has already previously received a Round loss for this Infraction, the Penalty will be upgraded to a Match Loss (=elimination) for that player.

=> This event is "snipers-only", using any other gun, except for snipers will be considered as Infraction under use of illegal item.

**TARDINESS/Check-In: **
After signing up, players will be assigned a timeslot for their first match, and every time a player wins an assigned match, they will be assigned a specific new timeslot to report back to play their next match.
Players that do not report for their match on time may be replaced by a player (of any) who is on standby from the wait list, or if there is no replacement player, then the tardy player will be issued a Round Loss for every 2 minutes they are late (rounded up, so a player that is more than 12 minutes late will be issued 7 round losses = a Match Loss.) If BOTH players are more than 12 minutes late and not replaced, then at the tournament administrator's sole discretion, the result of the Match may be: a) whichever player thereafter checks in first might get the Match Win, or, b) the match might be rescheduled to start at a later time, or, c) both players might be disqualified, resulting in the next round's opponent being issued a Bye/Match Win as well.)

If during a match, a player fails to launch their next Round timely, Tournament Staff may issue a Tardiness penalty to the offending player that is causing delay in the progression/completion of the match (every 2 minutes of delay rounded up, see above)

A match must be played at the scheduled time. If both players mutually agree to request a time slot change prior to the scheduled match time, Tournament staff has sole discretion to reject the request, or, attempt to accommodate the request and offer an alternate timeslot. Rounds played at any time (or through any other means) other than the officially scheduled timeslot, using assigned equipment at our location, will not count as a valid match, and results of any such play will not be accepted or used towards match results for this competition.

**LAG/DISCONNECTS**
The disconnected player should attempt to rejoin the game as soon as possible. If the player loses any round(s) while disconnected, the results stand. (There may be special circumstances adjudicated differently at the sole discretion of the tournament staff. If the staff rules to set aside a result and restarts a round, any rounds played prior to the most recent round will stand.) If there is a Lag or Disconnect issue, players must leave the game at the start of the next round (within 15 seconds) and switch hosts. If for any reason the opponent does not want to switch hosts, request a tournament official for instructions how to proceed.

**PREMATURE ENDING OF THE MAP**
If the hosting player somehow closes the map early or the game is otherwise disrupted before it concludes (with one of the players having already won 7 rounds,) the map should be reloaded and the match resumes with the same score from where you left off, unless ruled otherwise by Tournament Staff ( Call an Admin if needed.)

**AGE REQUIREMENT**
Players must be at least 18 years old to participate.

**TECHNICAL ISSUES**
If the ability to offer the game is interrupted due to technical issues (for example, a power blackout,) we may suspend and reschedule match(es) to a future time as needed.

**CHEATING**
Cheating of any kind will typically result in staff issuing the Penalty of "Disqualification Without Prizes", and the offender would be at-risk of being banned from all future events with us (unless ruled differently at the sole discretion of the Tournament Staff due to specific circumstances.) If you are in a match where you believe your opponent Cheated, please present any evidence you may have to the Tournament Staff. In addition to Hacking, "CHEATING" ALSO INCLUDES USING ANY BUG OR UNINTENDED EXPLOIT THAT EXISTS IN THE GAME, Intentionally or unintentionally (unless Staff has made an announcement to everyone about a specific exception to this rule.) Examples of exploits include Planting/defusing through unbroken destructible structures, going to out of bounds "glitch" spots, etc. If this somehow happens to you Unintentionally, you should immediately alert your opponent and tournament staff - if you don't, it is likely you will be deemed to have been Cheating, and will likely be disqualified without prizing and banned from all future events.

**CONDUCT:** Sportsmanlike conduct is expected. You are NOT allowed to be disruptive, harass or grief your opponent in Real Life, including on any social media such as in any Discord or Twitch chat (or any other actions that could be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, except for actions intended to be allowed within the game itself as part of normal game-play.) If you do, your actions may result in a Round loss, match loss, or disqualification from the event without prizes, and/or a ban from future events, solely at the discretion of the Tournament Staff.

**RECORDING** OPTIONAL: If possible, recording video of all of your matches is encouraged, to help eliminate any possibility of any dispute arising as to your performance in a given match. Be aware you may be recorded when in at our near the play area for our competition.

**STREAMING** Competitors playing in the event are permitted to live stream the event from their own POV (If you do, please add "#GGtoor" to the title.) We may (or may not) stream select matches for this event on one of our designated Official Twitch channels, and/or to screens at the event. By registering for this event, you agree that we may live re-broadcast your live stream from our designated Twitch channels and/or to screens at the event, and/or commentate all game-play of the tournament during the course of the event, and/or create VODs of any gameplay and any other Tournament-Related Content you or we create, which we may choose to make available on our official YouTube channels and other platforms so others may see what happened during the event, and/or to marvel at your Awesome Plays (or Epic Fails!)

ALL DECISIONS BY THE TOURNAMENT ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS EVENT ARE FINAL.
