EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: DO NOT register if you are unable to stream your matches on Discord or on Steam; You need to be able to share the game with the casters (even if it's at a low resolution/fps). It We will stream the Top 8 matches (Quarterfinals onward), and this will be done either directly via your Discord stream or your Steam stream. Please test your stream prior to the tournament with a friend to prevent any technical issues. Should you be unable to stream your Quarters/Semis/Finals match, we reserve the right to remove you from the tournament.

It is important that you double-check your time conversion to the local time for your timezone, so you do not miss this deadline! You can use this website: https://time.is/CEST

Remember - this is a deck-based tournament. Please read below for DECK CREATION RULES. When you register, please join the discord channel ( https://discord.gg/phRjrT8 ), go to the "dd-player-deck-lists", prepare your deck and post the deck's screenshot there. The deck will then be validated by the tournament staff (and marked with a Discord reaction). This is an example of a deck: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/745209209989103686/746757968338616410/Challengers.png

If you fail to provide your deck list by the check-in deadline, we will be forced to remove you from the tournament.

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, AFTER YOU CHECK IN ON TOORNAMENT.COM, PLEASE JOIN THE #DD-CHAT CHANNEL OF THE DISCORD AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS, OR YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE!

Once you join the #DD-CHAT on our Discord on the day of the event, it is also important to stay in that channel for the duration of the event, to make sure you do not miss any important instructions from the tournament staff.

Bo3 RULES:
"TEAM" = four characters; a team DOES NOT include skills, placement or trinkets!
"DECK" = four teams declared as a screenshot by a competitor;

1) Each player has to declare a deck of 4 teams for the ENTIRE TOURNAMENT (following the rules specified below);
2) Once the Bo3 is initiated, the players communicate via Discord, send each other their deck screenshots, add each other on Steam and examine each other's decks;
3) Each player can ban ONE of their opponent's teams - this is done via simultaneous discord message (e.g. on the count of 3); the banned deck is not available to a player within the series.
4) We end up with 3 teams available to each player.
5) Players go into their first game of the series. That choice of a team for each game is made by players and is not revealed to their opponents; players go blind into games, not knowing which of the enemy teams they will be facing;
6) Once a player wins a match with one team, that team is NOT AVAILABLE for the rest of that match; this means that in a Bo3, you must win with 2 different teams out of the 3 available;
7) The players are free to swap their skills, trinkets and positions of their characters in between the games of the match series if they lose with a team.

DECK CREATION RULES:
1) Any given character class (e.g. vestal, jester, leper, PD) can only be present on two teams within a deck (e.g. all 4 teams cannot contain a Jester, only two of them can);
2) You are not allowed to submit one team more than once within a given deck (i.e. the same exact set of characters, regardless of their position).

REMEMBER: If a player goes into a Bo3 match with a team that is not eligible (i.e. it is not present within their posted deck list, was banned, or had already won a game in the current Bo3 match) they automatically lose that game in the Bo3 match series.

Age: To be eligible to participate, a player must be at least 13 years old (or such other age, of greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence). Players between the ages of 13 and 17 (or such other age, if greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence) must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian (a form will be provided which must be returned in order to complete processing your registration). IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, THE FORM CAN BE FOUND HERE: https://discordapp.com/channels/708790719015551017/761211030927441940/761211331696132116 , PLEASE CONTACT TOURNAMENT STAFF PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO HAVE THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK COMPLETED OR YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE.

TARDINESS: If your opponent appears to be non-responsive after 3 minutes, ping them AND the tournament staff via a post in the discord channel, alerting everyone that the opponent appears tardy. If your opponent does not respond/report in for the match within 5 minutes from the time of the first public ping, ping them AND the tournament staff again, and your opponent will be issued a game loss. If they still do not respond within another 5 minutes repeat this process, and they will be issued a match loss.

IF THERE ARE GENERAL CONNECTION PROBLEMS/INTERRUPTIONS OF THE GAME'S SERVERS, THE EVENT MAY BE SUSPENDED AND RESCHEDULED TO COMPLETE ON A FUTURE DATE.

Cheating of any kind will result in disqualification without prizes from the event, and being banned from all future events. If you are in a match where you believe your opponent cheated, please send any evidence you may have to the tournament staff. "CHEATING" ALSO INCLUDES USING ANY BUG OR UNINTENDED EXPLOIT THAT EXISTS IN THE GAME, such as forcing desyncs or soft locks. If this happens to you, you should immediately alert your opponent and tournament staff and wait for their instructions.

OPTIONAL: We realize not every player can do this, so this is not mandatory: If you have the capability, recording video of all of your matches is a good idea, to help eliminate any possibility of any dispute arising as to performance in a given match. Being able to stream (even in low quality) if you make the Top 8, however, is mandatory.

DESYNCS, CRASHES or CONNECTION ISSUES: Should a player crash/desync/disconnect/soft lock at the point of the game at which it is not CLEAR that the match is "solved" (as in already decided at the point of the crash), a match is replayed. Any such event MUST BE REPORTED immediately at the general tournament discord by both match participants.
We rely on the participants to reach an agreement as to whether the game is solved or not. Should any disputes arise as to whether the game was indeed solved at the point of a disconnection, a screenshot of the game state should be provided to the tournament staff for them to assess the situation.
Should the disconnection/crash/soft lock occur again to the same player within the same tournament more than once, they shall take the automatic loss in that particular match within the series.
The Quarterfinals/Semifinals/Finals matches will be assessed by the tournament staff streaming the said matches.

Sportsmanlike conduct is expected. You are NOT allowed to be disruptive or grief your opponent in Real Life, such as in any Discord or Twitch chat (or any other actions that could be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, except for actions intended to be allowed within the game itself as part of normal game-play). If you do, your actions may result in a game loss, match loss, or disqualification from the event without prizes, solely at the discretion of the Tournament Staff.

ALL DECISIONS BY THE TOURNAMENT ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS EVENT ARE FINAL.

All Top 8 matches (Quarterfinals/Semifinals/Finals) for this event will be streamed on one of our Official Twitch channels. Competitors playing in the event may live stream the event from their own POV as well (and are strongly encouraged to do so!). By registering for this event, you agree that we may live re-broadcast your live stream from our Twitch channel and Shout-cast any game-play during the course of the event, as well as create VODs of this Content which we may choose to make available on our official Youtube channels and other platforms, so others may marvel at your awesome plays (or epic fails!)
